Seattle’s newest City Council member

The city has a full slate of Councilmembers once again. Tanya Woo was appointed this week to fill the vacant seat on the council, giving her a leg up in the special election for that seat in November.

Publicola editor Erica Barnett explains that Woo's appointment was far from a surprise, and describes the challenges she and the rest of the council will face in the coming year.
