Meet KUOW's Summer 2020 RadioActive youth producers
KUOW's RadioActive Youth Media offered our 17th annual summer introductory workshop for teens. In our first ever all-virtual workshop, twelve teens, aged 15-19, spent three weeks learning what it means to be a radio journalist. They did all of the research, interviews, writing, voicing and editing to produce their own short radio stories from home. By the end of the three weeks, the group produced twelve profile stories.

That’s a wrap! RadioActive’s 2019 podcast season
In 2019 RadioActive Youth Media worked with about 750 teens and tweens through our Intro, Advanced, and Community workshop programs. These young people produced 23 full-length feature radio stories, along with dozens of short radio stories and podcasts. KUOW's RadioActive Youth Media is proud to offer our 16th annual summer Intro to Radio Journalism Workshop. Sixteen teens, aged 15-18, will spend seven weeks learning what it means to be a radio journalist. During that time, they'll do all of the research, interviews, writing, voicing and editing it takes to produce their own feature stories and podcasts.
